About Jonathan Rincón

Industrial engineer specialised in
digitalisation and data systems.

I work at the boundary between industrial operations and the information system: I map the process on the plant floor, model the data it produces and build the tool used to decide on it. That judgment comes from having supervised production before digitalising it.

Jonathan Rincón

An industrial system is not finished when it works, but when the team using it can maintain it without its author. That is why I treat documentation, training and handover as part of the deliverable, not as a later phase.

TLTE Master's · Transport, Logistique, Territoires & Environnement · Data Supply Chain track

Sep 2025 – Sep 2027 · Paris, apprenticeship

A level-7 master's degree from Sorbonne Université, in the Data Supply Chain track taken as a dual degree with ISTELI and under mandatory work-study for 24 months. The TLTE core curriculum brings together five disciplines around the same subject, transport and logistics: geography and planning, transport economics and law, management, environment and public policy. The school has been training in this field for eighty years and teaches with researchers and practising professionals.

The Data Supply track adds the layer a production engineer lacks: data project management, supply chain information systems, logistics process modelling, AI applied to the supply chain, ecological transitions and strategy with continuous improvement. It brings the macroscopic reading of the physical flow and its information flow outside the factory, at the scale of the network, the logistics corridor and the public policy that shapes it. Two study trips and 120 ECTS credits over four semesters.

Manager des organisations et processus logistiques · Data Supply Chain track

Sep 2025 – Aug 2027 · 1,154 hours over 24 months, apprenticeship

A level-7 professional qualification registered with France Compétences under code RNCP 36218, taken under work-study and as a dual degree with the Sorbonne Université TLTE master's. The programme is organised into four skill blocks covering the full cycle of a logistics chain: implementing solutions (specifications, customer demand, intralogistics, information systems), building strategy (analysis, flow mapping, stock management, international transport and customs), steering and improving performance (audit, diagnosis, dashboards, KPIs, Lean with Green Belt level) and managing the logistics function (project management, management control, change management).

It is rounded out by cross-disciplinary subjects, labour law, risk management, English and IT, and a teaching approach built on real professional situations, with half the time spent in the company. For my work at Saint-Gobain it is the framework that gives order to what I do day to day: every module on modelling, flow auditing or indicators has a real case in the European scope to test it against.

Ingénierie de Production & Usine du Futur 4.0 · Expertise PROTeUS, Cluny campus

Jul 2024 – Sep 2025 · Cluny, France

An international production engineering programme taken on the Cluny campus under the UNET–Arts et Métiers agreement, with the third-year PROTeUS expertise track, «Usine du Futur 4.0 : du Prototyp@ge 3D à l'UGV». It runs 350 hours and 61 credits: a 150-hour expertise unit on CNC machine tools and five-axis machining, complex curves and surfaces, the CAD-CAM digital chain with post-processors and simulation, hard-to-machine materials (titanium, superalloys), cutting-force modelling and surface integrity with temperature measurement and thermomechanical simulation.

On top of that come ninety hours of management, supply chain and responsible engineering, an expertise project, conferences and industrial visits, and a company placement of at least 33 weeks. The campus's Uppercut technology platform provides the manufacturing and testing resources. It is the programme that gave me the language of the machining shop floor and of product-process industrialisation, and with it the final-year project on residual stresses defended in Cluny.

Génie informatique · Full Stack, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Cybersecurity

Jul 2023 – Jul 2025

Intensive computer engineering training taken alongside industrial engineering, structured around four areas: full stack development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, large-scale data processing and cybersecurity. It covers the full cycle, from data modeling and API design to deployment and service protection.

It's the training that underpins the software side of my industrial work: the interfaces, integration services and data processing I develop on the plant floor draw on this background, as does the security approach I apply to OT architectures.

Jul 2016 – Oct 2023 · San Cristóbal, Venezuela

Industrial engineering degree earned under the international dual-degree agreement between UNET and Arts et Métiers ENSAM. The curriculum covers production management, operations research, quality, maintenance, industrial safety and project management, with a significant amount of practical work in regional industry.

I also took two electives focused on business development: Entrepreneurship Training, passed with 9/9, and Export Management and International Business, which underpins my later work on agri-food export plans.

High school diploma in Sciences · Excellence Program

Jul 2010 – Jul 2015 · Venezuela

Science-track high school diploma completed within the school's Excellence Program, with extra emphasis on mathematics, physics and chemistry. I graduated first in a class of ninety.

The final project was building a MIDI-controlled dual-resonance solid-state Tesla coil (DRSSTC) — one able to play music through its electric arc. It was the first project where I had to bring together power electronics, control and programming in a single system, and it explains fairly well the path that came after.

Student representation · UNET

During my last years at university I held two mandates elected by student vote. Both put me on the other side of the table: institutional negotiation, and responsibility for decisions affecting an entire faculty. The credentials are shown in full; only the ID document is withheld.

Own project

VALTIK

Bringing industrial digitalisation to companies without a large group's budget.

The idea comes from working at both extremes at once. In a European group, scale justifies everything: there is an in-house team, there are licences and there is a horizon for a two-year project. In an industrial SME the problems are identical, machines that do not communicate, data scattered across spreadsheets and decisions made on last week's information, but the cost structure of market platforms is built for a different size.

I founded VALTIK in April 2026 to close that gap, and I hold the roles of product owner, architect and lead developer at once across five domains: automation, data and artificial intelligence, infrastructure, engineering and energy consulting. Each engagement follows five stages with a deliverable at the end of each one, so a client can stop after the first and still walk away with something usable.

What I do now

Supervision, data and custom applications for industrial SMEs, on a multi-tenant platform that spreads the cost across several clients.

How I deliver it

Five stages with a deliverable at the end of each one. A client can stop at the first and keep something usable.

Where it is heading

Simulation, virtual commissioning and digital twin to test a line before touching it. It is the next piece of the same platform.

VALTIK

Way of working

How I approach a project

Four criteria I apply before writing a line of code.

Process first

I map the physical flow on the plant floor before defining requirements. The written process and the real process do not match.

Traceable decision

A tool that proposes an industrial decision must explain the rule behind it. No one signs off on what they cannot defend.

Documented deliverable

Procedure, manual and training are part of the scope. An undocumented improvement does not survive a shift change.

Measurement before opinion

The initial state is measured, compared against the later one, and claims are kept within that bound.

Languages and location

Working environment

Multinational scope, with counterparts in several countries and different local systems.
